Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Killa Sharks. Marshal is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Remember the name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eliah Marshal!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshal stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.
Alvarez tries for a takedown but Marshal circles away easily
and Marshal counters with a leg kick.
Alvarez misses with a hook
and Marshal counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've been told by Alvarez's head coaches at †AWAKENING† that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Marshal fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alvarez on the side of the head.
Alvarez misses with a lunging right hand
and Marshal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Marshal keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Alvarez.
Alvarez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Marshal counters with a nice body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Alvarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marshal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Alvarez fails to land the takedown.
Marshal defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alvarez.
No luck for Alvarez with that takedown attempt.
Marshal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marshal wants it to stay on the feet.

Alvarez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marshal is fending him off so far but Alvarez persists. Nope, Marshal circles away and we're back to standing.
Alvarez is breathing heavily.
Marshal thuds a left hand into Alvarez's body.
Donk. Marshal catches Alvarez right on the button with a cross.
Alvarez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Alvarez shoots and misses
and Marshal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Both fighters circling a little - Marshal finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marshal thumps Alvarez with a low kick.
Mike Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshal throws out a powerful jab.
Marshal lands with a straight right. Alvarez didn't see that one coming.
Marshal cracks the inside of Alvarez's front leg.

Marshal closes the distance and clinches.
Marshal lands a right hand.
Marshal is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Marshal putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Alvarez in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Alvarez is trying to pull guard but Marshal has him pressed against the cage.
Marshal gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Alvarez.
Marshal lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alvarez backwards.
Marshal lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Alvarez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Marshal to keep the fight standing.
Alvarez tries to pull guard but Marshal won't allow it.
Alvarez takes a knee to the side of the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Marshal lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Alvarez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Marshal fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Alvarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A left and a right from Marshal both land. Nice combination.

Marshal thuds his right hand into Alvarez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Alvarez takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Good shot there by Marshal.
Alvarez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Marshal is pawing at Alvarez, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Alvarez's nose. Alvarez is badly hurt! Marshal pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Alvarez tries desperately to hold on but Marshal is relentless in his assault! As Alvarez receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Marshal away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eliah Marshal!
Our winner, Eliah Marshal, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
The defeated Mike Alvarez had this to say: 'i just want to apologize to my fans for my performance today. Ummmmm Hilo was was the better fighter today "congrats to him and his team" and to my fans i promise i'll train harder and smarter and pull out that W in my next fight. GOD BLESS!'.
