Tavares has chosen Die Die Die My Darling as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gideao Tavares is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares fails with the takedown
and Gustavsson counters with a nice body shot.
Tavares fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gustavsson avoids it really well and circles away.
Tavares misses with a takedown attempt
and Gustavsson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tavares thinking.
Alexander Gustavsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gideao Tavares.

Tavares feints and as Gustavsson raises his hands in defense, Tavares changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tavares prevents Gustavsson from getting back to his feet.
Gustavsson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Tavares misses with a takedown attempt

and Gustavsson counters by moving into the clinch.
Tavares tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gustavsson smiles and moves away.
Gustavsson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tavares has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Gideao Tavares has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tavares takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Gustavsson looks to land a combination but Tavares avoids it well.
Gustavsson grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Tavares takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Gustavsson cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
