Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tights takes a swing at Penn's ribcage but misses.

Tights clinches.
Tights tries to land knees in the clinch but Penn avoids the damage to the body.
Tights looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Penn lands a takedown into guard.
Penn distracts Tights with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Penn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Penn sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Penn is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tights is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tights has escaped and now he's on top!
Penn has a closed guard, preventing Tights from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tights can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tights wanted to stand there but Penn had control of the position.

Tights stands up from Penn's guard - Tights perhaps looking for a knockout.
Penn doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tights counters with a stiff right hand.
Tights jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Tights closes the distance and clinches.

Tights is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Penn is defending well for now.

Penn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tights walks away with a smile on his face. Penn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tights moves into the clinch successfully.

Penn gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Tights is defending against the submission attempts here by Penn.
Penn trying to control the action but Tights is working from the bottom.
Tights pushes Penn off looking to stand but Penn dives back in and keeps control.

Penn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tights looks like he's trying to stand up.
Penn trying to pass the guard but Tights defending well.

Penn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tights wants to get back to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jay Penn will probably get the nod.

Tights moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Jay Penn has been cut.

Penn gets tackled into the cage by Tights. Tights maintains the clinch.
Tights avoiding damage as Penn throws knees to the body.

Penn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tights fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Penn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Penn lands in his opponent's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Penn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tights is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tights and Penn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Penn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Penn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
