Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Hearns!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nunez shoots in and bounces Hearns off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Nunez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hearns looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nunez is one step ahead there.
Nunez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Hearns looking for a sweep. Not yet Hearns, not yet.

Hearns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nunez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nunez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Nunez stays in close to Hearns's body and controls the position.

Nunez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Nunez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hearns sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nunez somewhat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nunez misses with a left hand
and Hearns counters with a three punch combo that has Nunez backing up. Nunez nods at Hearns to acknowledge the strikes.
Hearns lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Nunez goes down and covers up as Hearns starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
