The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maia shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bigelow napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Maia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Maia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bigelow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bigelow is trying to control Maia's posture but Maia avoids it.
Bigelow is looking for a sweep.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maia is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bigelow is trying to escape and Maia transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bigelow is forced to tap! Nice work there by Maia! Very nice indeed!
