Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tirado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles David Leddill!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leddill is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


It looks like Charles David Leddill has been cut.
Tirado tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leddill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Leddill lands the left hand.
Tirado lands a jab.
Tirado fails in his attempt to clinch.
Leddill scores with a nice strike.

I was talking to Tirado's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tirado's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tirado is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Leddill is keeping busy.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tirado just misses with a elbow thrown towards Leddill's brow.
Tirado throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Leddill misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Tirado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tirado tries to close the distance and clinch but Leddill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mike Tirado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leddill scores with the left hand. Tirado knows he should have avoided that one.

Tirado tries to bum rush Leddill with a series of wild strikes but Leddill uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Tirado counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Tirado uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Leddill.

Tirado escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tirado drives through and clinches with Leddill against the cage.
Leddill lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Leddill dodges an elbow strike from Tirado.
Leddill tries to break the clinch but Tirado is controlling the position.
Leddill blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Leddill tries to stall but Tirado uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Tirado lands a left hand.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Tirado as Leddill tries to tie him up.
Leddill is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Leddill tries to break the clinch but Tirado is controlling the position.

Tirado wants to clinch up but Leddill keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tirado looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tirado tries to clinch but Leddill is having none of it.

Leddill gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
