Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Colbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kesigan Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Colbert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kesigan Hoost!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoost rushes Colbert and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hoost scores with a shot to the side of Colbert's head.
Colbert trying to stall but Hoost improves his position.
Colbert doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hoost with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Colbert could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hoost jumps into guard, dragging Colbert to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hoost keeping moving, preventing Colbert from controlling successfully.
Colbert throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hoost works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Colbert trying to control the position from guard on top but Hoost is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Colbert has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Colbert.

Hoost moves into range and clinches up with Colbert.

It looks like Chris Colbert has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Colbert is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoost has wrist control.
Colbert prevents Hoost from getting back to his feet.

Hoost has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Colbert is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Hoost swings wildly with an uppercut but Colbert uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hoost throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Colbert blocks it with crossed arms.

Hoost looks winded!
Hoost connects with a knee to the head.
Colbert goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hoost avoiding damage as Colbert throws knees to the body.
Colbert tries to throw a body punch but Hoost avoids it by throwing Colbert back against the cage.

Hoost breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Colbert tries to keep at a distance but Hoost has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hoost is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Colbert is defending well for now.
Hoost with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Colbert jumps guard but Hoost turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Colbert. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Colbert tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hoost defends well and Colbert ends up having to push Hoost into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kesigan Hoost seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Hoost lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Hoost manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We're going to have a standup here because Chris Colbert wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Hoost drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colbert gets caught flat footed, as Hoost shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hoost is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Colbert has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hoost is looking to defend but Colbert has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hoost! Colbert pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hoost taps out and this one is all over!
