Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sky Scrape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deith Jaria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scrape swinging wilding here.
Scrape fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Deith Jaria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jaria drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jaria stays in close to Scrape's body and controls the position.
Scrape trying to keep a closed guard but Jaria is proving a slippery customer.
Scrape is pulling down on Jaria's head. It's preventing any offense from Jaria, at least for the moment.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sky Scrape just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Scrape seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jaria for as long as he can get away with.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Scrape misses the body punch

and Jaria counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Scrape's guard now.
Scrape is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jaria tries to free his leg and advance position but Scrape is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jaria looks for a takedown but Scrape sprawls well.

and Scrape counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jaria is breathing heavily.

Scrape tries to bench press Jaria off him but Jaria keeps the position.

Scrape is looking for a sweep.
Jaria lands a decent elbow from side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jaria throws a head kick but Scrape moves out of range.

Jaria bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Scrape is looking to regain half guard here but Jaria keeps moving and retains side control.
Jaria passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Scrape!

Scrape tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jaria landing strikes from the mount.
Scrape is trying desperately to improve position.
Scrape manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Scrape tries to roll over but Jaria keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deith Jaria showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Scrape's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Jaria moves out of range of the strikes.
Scrape misses with a series of wild punches.

Jaria has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scrape can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jaria is looking to escape.
Scrape perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Scrape's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Scrape looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Jaria is looking to clinch but Scrape is avoiding it.
Scrape misses with a takedown
letting Jaria counter with a right hand.

Jaria decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Scrape moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Scrape has Jaria pulled in close to control his posture.
Scrape has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Scrape bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jaria's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sky Scrape showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Scrape has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
