PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksei Ljosha Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putin comes to the cage accompanied by INTERNATIONALE. Paul Harris told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin thows a body kick. Harris tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A slow jab from Putin misses its intended target.
Harris connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Paul Harris has been cut.
Putin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Putin throws a leg kick but Harris sees it coming and moves out of range.
Harris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Putin.
Harris takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Putin has control of Harris's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Harris regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Harris goes for a takedown attempt but Putin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Putin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Harris sprawling to the canvas! Harris rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Putin finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
