The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ask looks to land a combination but Rue avoids it well.

Rue moves into the clinch.
Rue is working for takedown but Ask is calmly controlling the position for now.

Rue gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rue stays in close to Ask's body and controls the position.
Rue won't allow Ask to sweep him here.

Ask really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rue. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Li Rue wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Ask tries to clinch but Rue is having none of it.

Rue rushes Ask and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rue is working for takedown but Ask is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rue wants a takedown but no success here.

Rue is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ask can't fight it off and eventually Rue manages to take the fight to the floor. Ask looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rue stays in close to Ask's body and controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rue decides to stand back up.
Ask throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ask throws a right and a left that Rue avoids nicely.
Ask keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rue.
Ask lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ask circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rue swats away the attempt to clinch by Ask.
Ask is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ask.

Rue shoots in and drives through. Ask sprawls well.

Rue gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rue drags the fight down to the ground.

Ask content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rue has locked up a guillotine! Rue's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ask is holding on here and Rue must be using up a lot of energy. Ask has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rue gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
