We've been hearing reports that Russell has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steele slaps away a takedown attempt from Russell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Russell looks to score with a jab to the body but Steele is just out of range.
That kick from Steele tenderised Russell's leg. Russell is trying to keep his angry face on.

Steele connects with a leg kick. Russell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Steele feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Russell sprawling to the canvas! Russell rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steele finish him?!

It looks like JaMarcus Russell has been cut.

Russell wants to stay close but Steele steps back to make room for something. Russell seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Steele and Russell drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
