No joy there for Maaiveld, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maaiveld looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jam shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maaiveld is trying to defend but Jam finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
