Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Paulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Crazy Kure enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Paulo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Crazy Kure!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulo throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Paulo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kure tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kure needs to keep his hands up - Paulo had a free shot at his head there.
Kure changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paulo tries to avoid it but Kure manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paulo to the ground. Paulo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Paulo throws a sloppy head kick and Kure moves out of range easily.
Paulo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kure shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kure darts in trying to clinch
and Paulo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kure swings for the body but Paulo moves out of range.
Paulo works the jab nicely.

It looks like Crazy Kure has been cut.
Paulo slips a jab and a cross from Kure.
Paulo looks for the body kick but Kure saw that one coming.
Kure blocks a head kick by Paulo.

Paulo drives through and clinches with Kure against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Paulo scores with a nice hook to the head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Paulo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kure tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Paulo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kure has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Paulo breaks the clinch.
Kure tries to score a power double leg takedown but Paulo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kure somewhat.
Antonio Paulo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crazy Kure.
No luck for Kure with that takedown attempt.
Paulo scores with a head kick. Kure tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Paulo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kure fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Paulo avoids it really well and circles away.
Kure looks winded!

Paulo lands a big head kick that sends Kure tumbling to the mat! Paulo takes a step backwards and waves Kure back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Paulo looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Paulo backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Kure's temple! It sends Kure violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Paulo celebrates and the doctors try to help Kure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Antonio Paulo!

After winning the bout, Antonio Paulo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
