The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smilehoven stuffs the takedown attempt from Chase. Chase gets slowly back to his feet.
Smilehoven scores with a jab.
Chase tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smilehoven swivels and escapes.

Chase shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smilehoven pinned against the cage. Smilehoven gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chase lands a nice looking kick to the body. Smilehoven takes a step back to recover.

Chase clinches up with Smilehoven and pushes him back against the cage.

Smilehoven doesn't have the hooks in and Chase manages to turn into his guard.
Smilehoven pulls Chase in to control the position.
Chase won't allow Smilehoven to sweep him here.
Smilehoven manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chase manages to get himself to full guard.
Smilehoven wants to control from the top but Chase keeps moving.
Smilehoven controls from within his opponent's guard.
Chase manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Smilehoven holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chase tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Chase throwing strikes here but Smilehoven is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Smilehoven is trying desperately to improve position.

Chase shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smilehoven pinned against the cage. Smilehoven gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smilehoven swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Chase.

Smilehoven's corner calls for a 1-2. Smilehoven obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Chase ducks right into an uppercut from Smilehoven.
Jim Smilehoven is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smilehoven lands a jab to the head.


Chase is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Smilehoven knocks Chase out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
