The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Reefer tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Reefer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rua takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Reefer motions for Rua to come forward. Reefer throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rua walks into a left hand.
Reefer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Reefer fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Reefer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reefer throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rua closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rua takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rua avoids a kick to the body.
Reefer lands a nice looking body shot.

Reefer is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Reefer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rua on the side of the head.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Reefer! Rua is out on his feet! Reefer rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rua is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rua is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
