PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Auzier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Had Enough-Breaking Benjamin. Auzier has chosen hahaha as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson clinches up against the cage.

Johnson wants the takedown. Auzier is fighting it off but Johnson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Auzier's guard against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Auzier is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Justin Johnson just wasn't active enough.
Auzier lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Auzier connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Auzier wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Johnson forces Auzier back against the cage and clinches.
Auzier has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.
Johnson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Auzier's efforts to push away.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Auzier throws a solid leg kick but Johnson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Auzier.

Auzier wants to get back to striking at distance but Johnson won't allow it.

Johnson drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Auzier throwing strikes but missing.
Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Auzier is controlling him.

Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Auzier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Auzier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Justin Johnson will probably get the nod.

Johnson has Auzier pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Auzier tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Auzier's guard.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Auzier swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson cracks Auzier with a solid left hand.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Auzier swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Auzier loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.
Auzier fails to land with a series of punches.
Anderson Auzier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Auzier misses with a few strikes there.
Auzier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnson counters with a big head kick but Auzier shrugs it off.

Auzier throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Auzier's corner calls for a 1-2. Auzier obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Auzier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Auzier napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Auzier is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Johnson is controlling him well.
Justin Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Auzier is working to avoid the ground and pound but Johnson connects with a decent elbow.
Auzier is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Johnson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Auzier is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Johnson off. It looks like it's working - Johnson slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Auzier displaying calm under pressure there.
