Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgey Prendergast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Prendergast.

Prendergast decides to stand back up. Prendergast steps back and let's Yi get back to his feet.
Yi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Prendergast has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Master Yi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Master Yi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Prendergast is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Master Yi.
Yi misses the jab.
Prendergast tries to close the distance and clinch but Yi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Yi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Yi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Prendergast is able to avoid easily.
Yi throws a hook to the side of Prendergast's head but Prendergast sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Prendergast is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Yi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Master Yi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georgey Prendergast.

Prendergast has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yi uses from the top position.

Prendergast has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Master Yi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
