Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Cortes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sindri Haraldsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sindri Haraldsson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Cortes misses

and Haraldsson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Haraldsson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cortes has managed to free his arm - good work.
Haraldsson passes to side control.

Haraldsson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cortes has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Haraldsson but great work by Cortes.
Haraldsson is looking for a sweep.
Cortes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haraldsson on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferdinand Cortes has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Cortes connects with a body shot.
A jab lands there for Cortes.

It looks like Sindri Haraldsson has been cut.
Cortes looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Haraldsson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cortes clobbers Haraldsson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Haraldsson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cortes.

and Cortes counters with a stiff right hand.

Cortes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cortes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Haraldsson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cortes cracks Haraldsson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cortes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Cortes lands a lovely overhand right.

Haraldsson is rocked!

That has opened up Sindri Haraldsson's cut even more.
Cortes cracks Haraldsson on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Haraldsson falls backwards against the cage. Cortes follows up with more strikes that drop Haraldsson to his knees. Cortes keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Haraldsson! This one is all over!
