Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chibuike Soun!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soun gets caught flat footed, as Clifton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Clifton sitting in guard here, content to control.
Clifton advances position into side control!
Soun being controlled for a moment.
Soun wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Clifton tries for a kimura but Soun is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Clifton advances nicely into full mount.

Clifton jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Soun is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Soun and Clifton has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Clifton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Soun, who protects the arm well.
Clifton moves into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clifton is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Soun is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Soun flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Clifton anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Soun and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Clifton slips an arm under Soun chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Clifton has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Clifton is squeezing on Soun like an anaconda would it's prey. Soun fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Craig Clifton!
