The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Braun wants to slow Iverson down by chopping away at his legs.
Iverson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Von Braun defends it nicely.
Von Braun closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Von Braun lands in his opponent's guard.
Von Braun distracts Iverson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Von Braun wants to pass the guard but Iverson is keeping the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Von Braun connects with a nice short shot to Iverson's temple.

and Von Braun counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Iverson's guard now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iverson is fighting to break Von Braun's control of his arms but Von Braun is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Iverson looking to sit in guard and control but Von Braun gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Von Braun is in close to Iverson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Iverson tries to kick Von Braun off but Von Braun keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Von Braun perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Von Braun is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Von Braun has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Iverson is breathing heavily.

Von Braun pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Von Braun lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Iverson is rocked!
Von Braun loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Iverson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Von Braun land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Von Braun stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Emmet Von Braun!
