The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akita wants to clinch.
Haraldsson ducks under a wild hook from Akita .
Nice jab there from Akita .
Haraldsson throws a hook but Akita blocks it.
Haraldsson throws a lazy right hand but Akita sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Akita wants to slow Haraldsson down by chopping away at his legs.
Akita scores with a hook to the body. Haraldsson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A jab from Akita misses.
Haraldsson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Akita 's head.
Haraldsson closes the distance and clinches up with Akita , looking for a takedown. Haraldsson pushes Akita against the cage but Akita circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Akita explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Haraldsson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Akita fails with an attempt to clinch.
Haraldsson throws a hook to the side of Akita 's head but Akita sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kaju Akita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Akita scores with a decent looking hook.
Kaju Akita is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Haraldsson throws a low kick but Akita moves out of range easily.
Akita tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Haraldsson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Haraldsson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Haraldsson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Akita is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Haraldsson, into his guard.
Haraldsson has a closed guard, preventing Akita from standing up.
Haraldsson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Akita knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haraldsson on the ground.

Haraldsson is looking to advance position but Akita won't allow it.

Haraldsson seems to be working for a kimura but Akita defends the submission attempt.
Haraldsson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Akita knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Haraldsson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Haraldsson is working for a submission of some sort.

Akita is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Haraldsson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Akita defend it? Haraldsson steps over the head and cranks it - Akita is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Haraldsson!
