The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Steel Penn Alliance
and Hershey counters with a straight right hand.
Steel Penn Alliance lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Steel Penn Alliance throws a head kick that misses
and Hershey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Steel Penn Alliance tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hershey was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel Penn Alliance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hershey.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hershey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hershey throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
We've been informed that Hershey has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Steel Penn Alliance changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hershey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hershey manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Steel Penn Alliance is looking for a sweep. Hershey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hershey wants to work for an arm triangle but Steel Penn Alliance is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hershey lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Steel Penn Alliance is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Steel Training, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Hershey is trying for a kimura here. Steel Penn Alliance looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Hershey wins by kimura!

A relieved looking Steve Hershey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
