Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deven Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watts has chosen Red - Breathe Into Me as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deven Watts!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado moves out of range of the strikes.
Watts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Machado changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Watts tries to avoid it but Machado manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Watts to the ground. Watts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Watts.
Watts looks for a takedown but Machado sprawls well.

Machado feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machado accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Machado postures up in Watts's guard and throws a big left but Watts blocks it.
Machado is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Machado is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Machado wants to control from the top but Watts keeps moving.
Watts can't keep his opponent in guard - Machado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machado thows a huge punch but Watts dodges it nicely.
Watts has hold of Machado's hands but Machado slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Machado connects with a nice short shot to Watts's temple.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machado is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Watts can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Watts is rocked!
Machado postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Watts in real trouble here! The ref calls for Watts to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
