The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbot lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Bruce Banner has been cut.
Abbot connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Banner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abbot was covering up waiting for the punch and Banner finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Abbot had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Banner defends it easily.

Abbot has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Banner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Abbot is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Banner rolls with it to try and escape but Abbot cranks on the arm and Banner is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
