Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Paul misses.
Ethan Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paul throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Winter.
Winter avoids the head kick by Paul.
Winter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Paul.
Paul throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Left hook, right uppercut from Paul.

It looks like Franklin Winter has been cut.
Paul fails in his attempt to clinch.
Paul looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Paul misses with a double jab.
Paul pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
An inside leg kick from Paul misses.
Paul shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Winter defends it nicely.
Paul lands with a kick to the temple. Winter shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Paul throws a left and a right that both miss

and Winter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Paul's guard now.

Paul can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Winter controls the pace.
Winter with a nice head shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Paul wriggles free and stands up.
Winter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paul throws out the jab.

and Winter counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Paul!

Winter is trying to get an arm triangle but Paul is defending well.
Paul gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Winter wants to control but Paul is keeping him busy.

Winter seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Paul is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
