Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Cyothen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Voss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cyothen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 7lions - one man symphony. Scott Voss acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Cyothen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Voss!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voss shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cyothen but Cyothen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cyothen misses with a double jab.
Cyothen looks to land a combination but Voss avoids it well.
Voss is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cyothen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Voss sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cyothen lands a nice shot to the body.
Voss takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Voss looks winded!

Voss shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cyothen is trying to defend but Voss finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Voss is looking to take a break and control but Cyothen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Voss wants to stand up but Cyothen is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cyothen is looking to get back to full guard here but Voss has managed to pass to side control instead.

Voss tries for a kimura but Cyothen is defending well.
Voss tries to stand but Cyothen is controlling his head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Voss sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cyothen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Voss is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cyothen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Voss controls the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Voss trying to control the action but Cyothen is working from the bottom.
Sloppy strikes there by Voss.
We've been informed that Voss has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Cyothen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Voss wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cyothen, who protects the arm well.

Voss is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cyothen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cyothen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Voss trying to control the position but Cyothen is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Voss dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cyothen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


It looks like Scott Voss has been cut.
A punch lands to the side of Voss 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cyothen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Voss avoids the body shot from Cyothen.
Voss takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cyothen cracks Voss with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Voss is rocked!
Cyothen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cyothen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Voss was well out of range. Poor timing from Cyothen.
Cyothen swats away the attempt to clinch by Voss.
Voss slips a jab and a cross from Cyothen.
Scott Voss is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cyothen cracks Voss with an uppercut from hell and Voss crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Cyothen's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Voss is still in real trouble! Can Cyothen finish him?


That has opened up Scott Voss's cut even more.
Voss trying to control the position here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Voss looking to control.
Voss seems to have recovered his senses.
Voss is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Scott Voss has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Cyothen drops Voss with a huge uppercut! Voss drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Cyothen is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Cyothen!
A determined Max Cyothen didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
