Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Sinclare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, One Child!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Child avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Child gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sinclare has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Child after a bit of a struggle.

Child pulls Sinclare into guard.
Sinclare preventing the sweep.
Child is trying to keep Sinclare in close.

Child has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sinclare can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Child controls Sinclare momentarily but Sinclare frees himself.
Child is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sinclare is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Child pulls his head out easily.

Sinclare changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Child tries to avoid it but Sinclare manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Child to the ground. Child escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sinclare wants to clinch up but Child keeps it at a distance.

Child shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Child slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Child working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Child is looking to take a break and control but Sinclare is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Child is pushing down on Sinclare's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sinclare is fighting to maintain full guard but Child has managed to sneak the leg through.

Child takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Sinclare tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sinclare shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sinclare throws a push kick but Child slaps the foot to one side.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Child is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by One Child.
No luck for Child with that takedown attempt.
Sinclare wants to clinch.
Child leaves Sinclare with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Child decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Sinclare shoots for a takedown but Child saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Michael Sinclare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sinclare tries to close the distance and clinch up but Child swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sinclare shoots in for a double leg but Child sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Child bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sinclare tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Child wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

One Child showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Child shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sinclare sprawls well. Sinclare wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Child gets slowly back to his feet.

Sinclare shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Child but Child pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sinclare tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Child manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sinclare jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Child walks away with a smile on his face. Sinclare gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Child circles away from the clinch attempt.
Child dives in and grabs Sinclare's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sinclare pushes down on Child's head and hops out.
Child goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sinclare is looking to clinch but Child is avoiding it.
Sinclare misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sinclare shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Child as he avoids it easily.

Child darts in and clinches Sinclare up against the cage.
Sinclare fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Child breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Child counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Child gets tackled into the cage by Sinclare. Sinclare maintains the clinch.

Sinclare pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Child fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sinclare sprawls well initially but Child persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Child decides to return to a standing position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sinclare fails with the takedown.

Child looking to score a takedown here. Sinclare is defending well but Child drives through and ends up in Sinclare's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Child passes easily into side control. Nice work.

One Child comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
