Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tim Jernigan!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shmetis closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Tim Jernigan has been cut.
Jernigan stuffs the takedown attempt from Shmetis. Shmetis gets slowly back to his feet.
Shmetis scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Shmetis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jernigan.
Jernigan fails with a takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jernigan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shmetis's guard.
Jernigan stays in close to Shmetis's body and controls the position.
Shmetis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jernigan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Shmetis shoots in for a takedown but Jernigan shows good takedown defense.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shmetis.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Entoni Shmetis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jernigan moves into the clinch.
Jernigan stalls.
Jernigan blocking some punches.

Jernigan gets control of Shmetis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jernigan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Shmetis forces his way into half guard.
Jernigan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shmetis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like Shmetis is going to stand back up.
Shmetis is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jernigan reverses the position - he's now on top in Shmetis's guard.
Jernigan postures up.
Shmetis being controlled here, momentarily.
Shmetis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shmetis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shmetis trying to keep a closed guard but Jernigan is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Entoni Shmetis just wasn't active enough.
Shmetis looks to score with a jab to the body but Jernigan is just out of range.
Shmetis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Shmetis drops Jernigan with a beautiful combination! Jernigan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shmetis is looking for the KO!

Jernigan is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A punch combination from Shmetis misses.
Jernigan is still on wobbly legs! Can Shmetis finish him?
Shmetis cracks Jernigan with a left hook right on the temple and Jernigan goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Shmetis lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Jernigan is OK!
