Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nestor Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Ranger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Smiff misses
and Ranger counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Smiff is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ranger.

It looks like Nestor Smiff has been cut.
Smiff is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ranger.
Ranger uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smiff.
Smiff throws a leg kick
enabling Ranger to counter with a crisp jab.
Smiff fails to land the takedown.
Ranger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Smiff misses with a right hand
and Ranger counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Smiff is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ranger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smiff swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ranger lands a leg kick that knocks Smiff off balance momentarily.
Smiff misses with a low kick.
Ranger digs a good hook to Smiff's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smiff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ranger swivels and escapes.
Smiff misses with a body kick.
Horrible takedown by Smiff or perhaps it was just good defense by Ranger which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nestor Smiff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ranger throws a one two combo.

Smiff is rocked!
Nestor Smiff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ranger drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Smiff right on the button. Smiff goes down! Ranger follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Ranger gets the win via TKO!
