The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Poullin.
Palavra tries for a takedown but Poullin circles away easily
and Palavra takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Poullin throws a push kick but Palavra slaps the foot to one side.
Horrible takedown by Palavra or perhaps it was just good defense by Poullin which made him look bad.
Poullin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Palavra.
Palavra shoots in but Poullin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Palavra feints and then cracks Poullin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Poullin down.
Poullin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Palavra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Poullin sprawls well. Poullin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Palavra gets slowly back to his feet.
Poullin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Poullin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Palavra seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Palavra is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Poullin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Palavra's head.

Palavra had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poullin defends it easily.
Poullin chips away with some ground and pound.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Palavra tries to lock up and control but Poullin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Poullin looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Palavra covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
