Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zell Griever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griever comes to the cage accompanied by X-Files Theme. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zell Griever!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Beckett!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckett scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Griever connects with a body shot.
Beckett punishes Griever's body with a nice straight punch.
Griever keeps Beckett at a distance using the push kick.
Griever throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Beckett throws a head kick that misses.
Beckett is looking to slow Griever down with leg kicks.
Griever looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Beckett looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Griever defending well as Beckett loads up on a big left hand.
Beckett fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Griever.
Griever takes a jab right on the kisser.
Griever checks the leg kick.
Beckett throws a body kick that misses.
Beckett throws out a leg kick but Griever moves out of range and Beckett only half commits.
Griever on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Griever checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Beckett tries a low kick but Griever avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beckett.
Griever misses with a hook.
Good shot there by Griever.
Beckett throws a jab but it's blocked by Griever.
Beckett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Beckett misses with a low kick.
Beckett gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Griever misses the jab.
Beckett thumps Griever with a low kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beckett.
Griever keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Griever scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A low kick from Beckett is predictable there
and Griever counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Griever throws a series of punches but Beckett avoids them all with ease.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Beckett keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Beckett showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Griever.

Griever lands a left and a right that send Beckett crashing to the mat, dazed. Griever thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Beckett is rocked!
Beckett throws a half hearted mid kick.
Beckett walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Griever takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Griever avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Beckett feints and then cracks Griever's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Griever down.
Good work by Griever as he checks the leg kick.
Beckett cracks Griever with a good jab.
Griever slips under a jab.
Griever checks a leg kick.
Beckett falls off balance throwing a combination
and Griever counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beckett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Griever ducks under a wild hook from Beckett.
Griever throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Robert Beckett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beckett's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Griever connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Beckett scrambles back to his feet.

Griever cracks Beckett with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Beckett looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Griever finish him?
Beckett is still on wobbly legs! Can Griever finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Beckett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Griever steps in with a hook that catches Beckett right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Griever follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Beckett looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zell Griever!
Zell Griever seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
