The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abukay is trying hard to land a takedown here. Love sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Love forces Abukay back against the cage and clinches.
Abukay changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Love fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Abukay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Love counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Apo Abukay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Love is pressed up against the cage. Abukay has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Love down to the mat. Love avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Love counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Love.
Love breaks the clinch.
Abukay gets tackled into the cage by Love. Love maintains the clinch.
Love scores with a knee to the head.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Love obliges.
Abukay tries to score a body lock takedown but Love shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Love unloads a knee to the mid-section. Abukay lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Love.
Love lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Abukay takes a knee to the side of the body.

Love drags the fight down to the ground.
Love trying to control the position here.
Abukay looking to sit in guard and control but Love gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Love has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Abukay is proving hard to escape from.

Abukay is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Love has his hands clasped together but Abukay extends and breaks Love's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Abukay.
