The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White shoots in and bounces Monster off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
White has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Monster is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.

Monster looking for a guillotine here but White defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

White stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Monster darts in looking for a takedown but White gets double underhooks and turns Monster into the cage.
White is pressed up against the cage. Monster has hold of a leg and is looking to drag White down to the mat. White avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Monster has managed to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Monster tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. White smiles and moves away.
Monster has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as White is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Berry White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pale Monster.
Monster fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but White avoids it really well and circles away.

White moves into the clinch successfully.
White tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Monster just stands there and leans against the cage.
White lands a body shot in the clinch.

White's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Monster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. White sprawls well initially but Monster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
White is not content to let Monster control the position.

Monster seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. White is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
