Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Omeruo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jere Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omeruo comes to the cage accompanied by The Hunger Games Whistle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omeruo tries a head kick but it misses.
No luck for Stephens with that takedown attempt.

Omeruo connects with a leg kick. Stephens looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stephens feints and as Omeruo raises his hands in defense, Stephens changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Omeruo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stephens looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stephens looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stephens!

Omeruo wants to control but Stephens postures up.

Omeruo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stephens defends it easily.
Omeruo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
