Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Sloop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Sloop will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sloop gets caught flat footed, as Gonzales shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gonzales stops Sloop from standing up.
Gonzales postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gonzales throws a strike but Sloop rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sloop wants to stand but Gonzales is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sloop is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Gonzales controlling the position.
Gonzales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sloop on the ground.
Sloop prevents Gonzales from getting back to his feet.
Sloop would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gonzales wants to stand and escape but Sloop is having none of it.

Sloop stands up from Gonzales's guard - Sloop perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gonzales shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Sloop displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Sloop lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Gonzales goes down and covers up as Sloop starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
