Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hipolito Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark DelRusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hipolito Spence!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark DelRusso!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spence fails in his attempt to clinch.
DelRusso throws a series of punches but Spence avoids them all with ease.

DelRusso shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spence's guard.

Spence pushes DelRusso off and gets back to his feet.
Mark DelRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spence gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spence wants to get back to his feet but DelRusso is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Spence will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mark DelRusso.

Spence might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Spence is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but DelRusso has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Spence has one foot on DelRusso's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Spence takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Spence is breathing heavily.
DelRusso swats away the attempt to clinch by Spence.
Spence takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Spence tries to keep at a distance but DelRusso has taken the fight into the clinch.
DelRusso is defending well against a takedown attempt.

DelRusso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
DelRusso throws a series of punches but Spence avoids them all with ease.
Spence tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

DelRusso shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Spence manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spence is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
DelRusso trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
DelRusso stays in close to Spence's body and controls the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spence is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hipolito Spence wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Spence ducks right into an uppercut from DelRusso.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark DelRusso dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Spence backs away from a small jab... but DelRusso lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Spence crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! DelRusso with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Mark DelRusso!
