Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ichi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hae Ki Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ichi Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hae Ki Park!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Park lands with an overhand left.
Takeshi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Park circles away.
Park keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice takedown defense from Park. No joy for Takeshi on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ichi Takeshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takeshi goes for a double leg but Park avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Park continues to drive forward.
Takeshi lands with a left to the head.
Takeshi managing to block the knees to the body from Park.
Takeshi dodges an elbow strike from Park.

Park working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Takeshi turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takeshi misses with the ground and pound.
Takeshi throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Park is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Takeshi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Park has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Takeshi but great work by Park.
Park staying calm.
Takeshi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Park's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Park wants to get back to his feet.

Park is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Takeshi has managed to free his arm - good work.
Takeshi wants to control but Park is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Park seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Park prevents Takeshi from improving his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takeshi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Takeshi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Park controls the pace.

Takeshi working for a triangle but Park defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Takeshi is trying to keep Park in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takeshi keeping full guard, as Park tries to pass.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Park wants to get up but he can't break Takeshi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Takeshi is looking for a triangle but Park pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Takeshi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Park escapes and throws Takeshi's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Park trying to control the action but Takeshi is working from the bottom.
Takeshi tries to bench press Park off him but Park keeps the position.
Takeshi manages to get back to half guard.
Takeshi tries to get to full guard but Park has control of the leg.

Takeshi has one foot on Park's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Takeshi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Takeshi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Park - the referee stops the clock and Takeshi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Park. Takeshi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Park looks to score with a jab to the body but Takeshi is just out of range.
Takeshi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Park avoids it really well and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Park looks to throw the jab but Takeshi is out of range.
Takeshi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Park moves into the clinch successfully.
Takeshi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Park lands a nice shot to the body.
Park is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Takeshi is defending well for now.
Park stops a takedown attempt from Takeshi.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takeshi throws an elbow but it misses.
Takeshi blocks an elbow strike.
Park is pressed up against the cage. Takeshi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Park down to the mat. Park avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Takeshi tries to close the distance and clinch but Park swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Takeshi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hae Ki Park will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Park.
Takeshi fails to land the takedown.
Park lands a jab to the head.
Park is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Takeshi shoots for a double leg takedown but Park sprawls well. He's pushed Takeshi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Takeshi darts in looking for a takedown but Park gets double underhooks and turns Takeshi into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ichi Takeshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Park breaks the clinch.
Park lands a nice looking body kick.
Park throws a body punch but Takeshi moves out of range.
Park fails to land with a series of punches.
Takeshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Park scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Park tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Takeshi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Park's waist but Park gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takeshi off to one side.
Takeshi fails to land the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Takeshi.
Hae Ki Park is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Takeshi takes a jab right on the kisser.
Takeshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Park tries to sprawl out of it but Takeshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Park manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Park lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Park fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Park lands with a nice body kick.
Park scores with a punch to the head.
No joy there for Takeshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Takeshi fails with a takedown attempt.
Park moves out of range as Takeshi strikes.

Park lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Takeshi at a distance.
Park scoring well with a low kick there.
Takeshi has a takedown stuffed.
Hae Ki Park seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Park fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Park throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Park tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
An inside leg kick lands from Park.
Park ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Park has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Park connects with a looping right hand.
Park throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Park clinches with his opponent.
Takeshi blocks the elbow strike.
Park pushes Takeshi back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Park gets underhooks to prevent Takeshi's takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Park presses Takeshi against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Park lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Good body shot from Park.
Takeshi with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Takeshi tries to pull guard but Park won't allow it.
Takeshi pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Park pushes Takeshi back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Takeshi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Park creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Takeshi avoids a wild elbow strike from Park.
A shot in the inside from Park.
Takeshi creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Park is struggling to control the position.
Takeshi working aggressively here.
Park lands a hook to the side of the head.
Takeshi wants to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Takeshi can't get the takedown.
The referee calls for Park to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takeshi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Park walks away with a smile on his face. Takeshi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Takeshi is looking to clinch but Park is avoiding it.

Park rushes Takeshi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Park lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A nice right hand lands inside from Park.
Park lands a left hand.
Park is leaning against Takeshi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Takeshi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Park fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Takeshi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


Takeshi is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Park displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Takeshi.
Oh Takeshi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Park scores with a hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hae Ki Park showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
