The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Punchnkik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gibbs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Punchnkik cracks Gibbs with a big right hand but Gibbs just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Punchnkik is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gibbs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gibbs defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Punchnkik.
Punchnkik is landing with some decent strikes but Gibbs is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Punchnkik cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gibbs is rocked!

It looks like Olen Gibbs has been cut.
Punchnkik has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Oh Gibbs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Punchnkik loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gibbs scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Punchnkik land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Punchnkik stands and salutes the crowd.
