Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kid Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shigeo Miyato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera comes into the arena with You are just a JOKE! blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Miyato is trying to defend but Vera finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vera is working for a submission of some sort.
Miyato moves into full guard.
Miyato wants to sweep here but Vera controlling him for the moment.
Vera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Miyato has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Miyato is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Miyato is looking for a triangle but Vera pushes his legs off easily.
Vera sitting in guard here, content to control.

Vera trying to control the position from guard on top but Miyato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Miyato manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vera manages to get himself to full guard.

Miyato drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vera looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vera looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vera!
Miyato tries to improve position but can't.
Vera tries to advance to mount but Miyato denies him.
Miyato managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Vera.
Miyato tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Vera presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Miyato tries to reverse the position but Vera maintains control.
Vera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyato sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Vera keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Miyato wants to sweep but Vera has passed to side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vera decides to stand back up. Vera steps back and let's Miyato get back to his feet.
Vera closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Miyato sneaks back into half guard.
Vera is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Vera prevents Miyato from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miyato keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyato is trying to get back to full guard.
Miyato keeps trying to improve his position.
Kid Vera has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Miyato gets caught napping as Vera dives in and scores a takedown. Miyato manages to retain guard.

Miyato is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Vera rolls with it to try and escape but Miyato cranks on the arm and Vera is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
