The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Cyrus The Virus has been cut.
The Virus avoids the head kick by Maya.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The Virus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maya.
The Virus misses with a two punch combination.
Razor Maya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maya throws a leg kick but The Virus sees it coming and moves out of range.
Maya lands a leg kick that knocks The Virus off balance momentarily.
The Virus stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Maya.

Maya uses good head movement to avoid the hook from The Virus.
Maya lunges at The Virus with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by The Virus's hand.
We've been hearing reports that Maya has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick lands from Maya that sends The Virus to the canvas. The Virus tries to scramble back to his feet but Maya brings him back down into side control.
Maya stands up.
Maya throws a powerful right kick. The Virus tried to block low but the kick was high! The Virus was taken right off of his feet! Maya jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
