Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Altair Ibn La Ahad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). La Ahad kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hurt by Johnny Cash. Anderson Jones told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Altair Ibn La Ahad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Jones!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. La Ahad manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
La Ahad not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and La Ahad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between La Ahad's legs - danger averted.
Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but La Ahad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but La Ahad has wrist control.

Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! La Ahad is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! La Ahad has escaped and now he's on top!
Jones doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Jones looking for a guillotine here but La Ahad defends easily.
La Ahad wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
La Ahad is really struggling to control Jones but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Jones throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
La Ahad is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jones has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. La Ahad is looking to defend but Jones has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for La Ahad! Jones pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, La Ahad taps out and this one is all over!
