Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Weiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Elbe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elbe has chosen Iron Man - Ozzy Osbourne as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steven Weiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gray Elbe!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elbe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Weiss wants to clinch up but Elbe keeps it at a distance.
Elbe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Weiss defends well and Elbe ends up having to push Weiss into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Elbe is trying to drag Weiss to the mat but Weiss just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Steven Weiss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Elbe.
A knee to the head by Weiss.
Weiss tries to land a knee to the head but Elbe blocks with his arms.
Elbe tries to pull guard but Weiss won't allow it.
Elbe avoiding damage as Weiss throws knees to the body.
Weiss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Elbe is trying to pull guard but Weiss turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Weiss throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Elbe blocks it with crossed arms.

Elbe has picked Weiss up - he's going for a ride! Elbe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Weiss is defending against the submission attempts here by Elbe.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elbe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Weiss is just riding it out for now. Elbe eventually gives up the hold.

Elbe wants to work for an arm triangle but Weiss is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Elbe looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Elbe is working for a submission of some sort.

Weiss has one foot on Elbe's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Elbe blocks a head kick by Weiss.
Weiss is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Elbe is defended easily by Weiss.

Elbe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Elbe is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Weiss is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
