Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cable Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cable Carson.

Hendricks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Carson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hendricks's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hendricks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hendricks is looking to get back to his feet here but Carson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hendricks's back.

What can Hendricks do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Carson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
