Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namnie Osamowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Namnie Osamowa!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schmidt rushes Osamowa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Schmidt gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Osamowa regains guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Osamowa controls Schmidt momentarily but Schmidt frees himself.
Schmidt pushes down on Osamowa's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Schmidt stalling.
Schmidt scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Schmidt seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Osamowa pushes Schmidt off looking to stand but Schmidt dives back in and keeps control.
Schmidt performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Dakota Schmidt has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Osamowa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schmidt defends it nicely.
Schmidt slaps away a takedown attempt from Osamowa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Osamowa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schmidt.

Schmidt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Osamowa on his heels. He'll look to pass Osamowa's guard now, I'm sure.
Osamowa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schmidt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Schmidt seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Osamowa tries to lock up and control but Schmidt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schmidt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Osamowa for as long as he can get away with.
Osamowa turns into Schmidt and is now in his guard.

Schmidt has his hands on Osamowa's head, controlling the position.

The fight stays on the outside here - Osamowa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Schmidt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Osamowa looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Schmidt passes into side control.

Osamowa tries to keep at a distance but Schmidt has taken the fight into the clinch.
Schmidt is trying to pull guard but Osamowa turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Schmidt has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Osamowa is trying to keep an underhook but Schmidt manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Osamowa wants to get back to full guard.

Schmidt seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Osamowa is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
