The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardson thows a body shot but no joy.
Leonardson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A combination from Leonardson does no damage.
Guevera feints and as Leonardson raises his hands in defense, Guevera changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Guevera advances to half guard.
Guevera missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Guevera has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Guevera fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Leonardson to the ground. Guevera is now in Leonardson's guard.

Leonardson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guevera defends it easily.

Leonardson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Guevera haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guevera lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Leonardson has Guevera pulled in close to control his posture.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Guevera slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Leonardson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Guevera dominated that round.

Guevera tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Leonardson defends well and Guevera ends up having to push Leonardson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Leonardson is pressed up against the cage. Guevera has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leonardson down to the mat. Leonardson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Guevera fails with a takedown attempt.

Leonardson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
