Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rey Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Davies has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rey Larson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rey Larson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Davies!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies misses with a few strikes there.
No luck for Larson with that takedown attempt.
Davies tries to clinch up
and Larson counters with a nice uppercut.

Davies closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Larson to the mat! Larson manages to get full guard.
Larson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davies is one step ahead there.

Davies throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Davies is looking to clinch but Larson is avoiding it.
Davies tries to clinch up but Larson circles away and keeps his distance.
Davies tries to land a front kick but Larson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Larson shoots in but no luck this time.
Larson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davies but Davies pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Davies feints a jab promting Larson to slip. Davies then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Larson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Rey Larson has been cut.

Davies has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Davies misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Davies shoots in and bounces Larson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Davies wants to get up but he can't break Larson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Larson pushes Davies off and scrambles back to his feet.
Travis Davies is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Larson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Davies closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davies wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larson keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Larson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Travis Davies comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Davies has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
