The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanford with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Sanford takes the fight into the clinch.

It looks like Luciano de Oliveira has been cut.

Sanford's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanford throws a leg kick which misses de Oliveira's front leg but catches the back leg as de Oliveira tries to avoid it.

Sanford lands a big head kick that sends de Oliveira tumbling to the mat! Sanford takes a step backwards and waves de Oliveira back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Sanford closes the distance and clinches.
Oh de Oliveira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
de Oliveira throws an elbow but it misses.

Sanford throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but de Oliveira blocks it with crossed arms.

Sanford drops de Oliveira with a big knee straight up the middle! de Oliveira is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Luciano de Oliveira's cut is getting worse.
Sanford fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt de Oliveira.
Sanford scores with a push kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanford putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has de Oliveira in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Sanford lands an elbow that stopped de Oliveira in his tracks for a moment.
Sanford unloads a knee to the mid-section. de Oliveira lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sanford jerks de Oliveira's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! de Oliveira drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Sanford goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Sanford because de Oliveira was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Fred Sanford!
During a confident post fight interview, Fred Sanford thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
