Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rhett Lokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reese has chosen Kings of Leon- Crawl as his entrance music. Rhett Lokey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rhett Lokey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Reese!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lokey circles away from the clinch attempt.

Reese changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lokey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Reese working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Reese is putting a hurting on Lokey here, landing some big shots from side control.
Reese trying to control the position but Lokey is working away.
Reese misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lokey wants to get back to his feet but Reese is dominant here and he's now got Lokey's back!
Reese prevents Lokey from getting the reversal.

Reese avoids the attempt from Lokey to control.

Reese is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lokey has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lokey!

Reese can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lokey controls the pace.

Lokey drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reese manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lokey has Reese in his guard.

Lokey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lokey moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kyle Reese dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lokey with a poor takedown

so Reese counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Reese loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lokey wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Reese is now in half guard.
Reese working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Lokey's thigh. Lokey counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Lokey working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Reese has passed into half guard!

Reese is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Reese is trying to control the action in half guard but Lokey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Reese is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lokey has managed to free his arm - good work.
Reese wants to take a breather but Lokey is having none of it.

Reese throwing shots but Lokey is blocking nicely.
Reese trying to advance position but Lokey counters by regaining guard.
Lokey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lokey has his takedown stuffed

and Reese counters with a shoot takedown. Lokey fights it but they end up in guard.

Reese won't allow Lokey to sweep him here.
Lokey has a closed guard, preventing Reese from standing up.
Reese passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Reese wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lokey keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lokey takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lokey manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Reese moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Reese is looking to stand back up but Lokey counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Reese.
Lokey prevents Reese from escaping the position.
Reese is not content to let Lokey control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Reese showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Reese doesn't manage to clinch there - Lokey circles away.
Lokey gets off balance looking for a body kick

so Reese counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Reese escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lokey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Reese had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lokey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reese Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lokey's back instead.

Reese tries to keep control of the position but Lokey is staying busy.
Reese has the hooks in. Lokey is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Reese connects with a big shot to the side of Lokey's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Reese really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Lokey.
Reese lands punches and elbows.
A lull in the action here.
Lokey trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Rhett Lokey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Reese scores with punches from the back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kyle Reese comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reese has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
