The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skobolev misses with a kick to the body.
Skobolev lands with a good body shot.
Sever takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sever will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sever could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
An inside leg kick lands from Skobolev.

Sever misses with a takedown attempt - Skobolev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sever stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Skobolev.

Sever shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skobolev as he avoids it easily.

Skobolev looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Skobolev backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Sever's temple! It sends Sever violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Skobolev celebrates and the doctors try to help Sever!
