Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Efren Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Linkin Park - Hit the Floor as his entrance music. Efren Peters has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Efren Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jakob Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas lands a nice shot to the body.
Thomas misses with an uppercut. Peters saw that one coming.
Peters shoots for a takedown but Thomas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Peters closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Peters pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas misses the jab.

Peters closes the distance and clinches.
Thomas tries to pull guard but Peters holds him up against the cage and eventually Thomas drops back down to his feet.
Peters fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Efren Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Peters's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Thomas gets caught napping as Peters dives in and scores a takedown. Thomas manages to retain guard.
Peters is standing up over Thomas. Thomas looks to escape but Peters dives into side control.
Thomas is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Peters asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Thomas bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Peters gets a double leg takedown into Thomas's guard.
Peters preventing the sweep.
Thomas is looking to stand up but Peters isn't so interested in that idea.
Thomas looks winded!
Peters trying to control but Thomas is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peters throws a big elbow that misses.
Peters passes Thomas's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thomas is trying to stand back up but Peters is controlling him

Peters decides to stand up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Thomas shows good takedown defense.

Peters gets the takedown into side control.
Thomas takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Peters wants to control but Thomas is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Peters is really struggling to control Thomas but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Peters decides to stand back up.
Peters tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance.
Peters fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Peters takes one to the side of the head.
Peters looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thomas uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Peters darts in looking for a takedown but Thomas gets double underhooks and turns Peters into the cage.
Thomas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Peters has him pressed against the cage.
Thomas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Peters fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Thomas misses with a hook.
Peters slips a straight right by Thomas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas cracks Peters with a good jab.
Thomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peters's head backwards.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Efren Peters dominated that round.
That's time! Peters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thomas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Peters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Thomas throws out a powerful jab.
Thomas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Peters eats them both and turns towards Thomas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Peters moves in looking to clinch but Thomas pushes him off.
Thomas digs a good hook to Peters's body.
Efren Peters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Thomas scores with a decent looking hook.


Peters is rocked!
You can follow us on Twitter at...Ooooooh Peters got wobbled bad by a big combination! Thomas presses forward with punches and knees until Peters stumbles to the ground! The ref watches Peters closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jakob Thomas!
Jakob Thomas was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
